Can-Am Disc Dog Games

First and foremost:

Please make your reservations at the Belden Hill Campgrounds @ www.beldenrvpk.com (letting them know that you are with the Can-Am Disc Dog Games group) if you have not done so already as Joe is holding sites for us (and turning people away). He and I would really appreciate this as Joe is bending over backwards for us to host this event at his campgrounds and I don’t want him to lose any business now or in the future.
Make your Hotel Reservations as a block of rooms are set aside at the Red Roof Inn of Johnson City, NY @ 607-729-8940 as I am not sure how long they might hold them.
Get your Pre-Registration in so we can organize the event according to your preferences, be able to complete the administrative side so we can enjoy the weekend too as well as not delay the event for other teams … not to mention paying some of the upfront expenses of this event.
Ray, Diane and myself stopped by the new Can-Am site of Belden Hill Campgrounds on the way back from Canada. As the Kilbournes indicated, the site is great for a disc dog event as well as being run by some great hosts. They have some beautiful vistas from the campsites looking over the hills/mountains of NY. There are ponds throughout the campgrounds but they CANNOT be used by the canines. The campsites that Joe is holding for our group are all adjoining (with the exception of some Tent Sites … which are right around the corner). There are only a couple down sides to the set up: our campsites are about as far from the field as possible (aprox.2,000 steps) and there are no shade trees close to the field… but now for the upsides.
Campgrounds is within a mile off of Interstate 88 (do not follow your GPS if it takes you on the back roads as it is just off of Exit 5 on I88 which can be accessed by I81 by those coming from the North and South)

We have a small parking lot mainingly for the Hotelers (also for those that want to drive their cars down from their site) adjoining the field.
If you feel you need to move your RV near the competition field site, there will be limited parking on a field just across the main campground’s road from the competition field (you will need to cooridinate that with either myself or Joe).
We will be able to leave shade tents and equipment on the field overnight (valuables can be kept in the Driving Range Shed)
Large flat & well maintained field as well as some side areas for practice and separate lessons and clinics if required
Pavillion with a Fireplace near our sites for our Pot Luck/Fireside Sing Along Jam session
Snack Shack on site with Ice Cream (Human kind ,,, a requirement of mine and Bob Griggs)
Belden Hill Golf Course Restaurant directly across from the Campgrounds for lunches To Go
Water and electric at the field site
Bathrooms/Bathhouse 1,000 steps from the field site (will have one Port-a-Potty brought onsite for those that cannot make that hike)
90 plus Seasonal Campers that have been informed of the fur flying entertainment
I will update you as I get any additional information on the event.

Now do your part. Pass this on to those that would be interested, get your Reservations made and Pre-registrations mailed & emailed.

Registration Note: You need to tab to each cell on the Xtreme Distance Team line as you need to complete the preference choices (1 thru 3) of the 3 Disc Weights (L = Light or mini discs, C = Classic or Standard discs, U = Unlimited or Heavy Weight discs) that you prefer to throw. If you do not fill these in and sign up (check the box) for this event we will select a weight preference for you in order to place you on a team.
